— Also, regarding the U.M.N., there is a fourth quadrant called "Lost Data." This was originally going to be a partial database -- the same as the Micro Database using Xenosaga III's in-game DB featured in FILE -- albeit smaller. How "Lost Data" will be re-purposed is under discussion. A number of aspects are unfinished (See "[Classified]" throughout), these concepts either did not meet our quality expectations or were put on hold for future growth of the site. Sections planned for v1.0 but were not added: [ Game System ] **v1.0 prioritized Xenosaga I, II & III for the site launch. There are a paltry number of database entries for the Micro Database (perhaps befitting of the name). v1.0 focused on characters from Xenosaga. More entries to come, particularly of the sections that were left out for v1.0 ("Machines" and "Terminology"). We are nowhere near satisfied with the number of available screenshots, nor the number of available videos. The core of the site made it for launch. This went as planned. It is not that "Let's put something up now, we can always add this or that later," it is more that the fundamentals are in place, so now the focus is on the scope and relevance of said fundamentals. With that understanding, the decision was made to [silently] launch as planned without any delays.What did actually make it by launch: The primary game sections — the foundations for Xenosaga Episode I, II, and III content. For v1.0, this included the main scenario, publicity, and places where one may be able to find Xenosaga games for purchase. A paltry number of screenshots, but screenshots nonetheless for the three main titles. The FILE section, including the MDB — a small selection of database entries pulled from the glorious, life-saving in-game database featured in Xenosaga Episode III. All games should have things like this! Mira rediscovered quite a lot about the characters, their motivations, and the organizations described within the Xenosaga universe while transcribing this. As of v1.0, only a selection of characters made it. The TALK area — the message board. While we don't anticipate a ton of members with the quiet launch of XS.org, this method of communication is like kind of a staple for sites such as this one. The U.M.N., though in its current form, we feel it leaves something to be desired. There's a soundtrack, a couple of videos, and some minor official downloads from way back. All in all, we have the foundations in place. The focus is "declassifying" all of the locked areas. Over time. So that's where we're at right now! See you around in 1.1!  |
